Project Name: Renovation Project
Location: Oldmill, Dyce
In 2016, the North-east of Scotland was hit by terrible storms, causing flooding and devastating many properties close to the River Don. One such property was the Old Mill of Dyce. Due to the flood damage, extensive repairs were required. The client used the ‘opportunity’ to renovate and modernise areas of their home. The lower ground floor kitchen was removed and the area redeveloped into a new bathroom and utility. The ground floor bathroom was removed and a new open plan kitchen/family area was formed, along with a new bedroom.
A feature picture wrap-around window was installed in the kitchen to provide panoramic views of the River Dee as well as enable additional natural light into the room.
