Liane joins All Design team

Meet Liane, All Design's latest recruit

Team All Design has been boosted with a new architectural assistant, Liane Wood.

Liane, from Potterton, is a 4th year student, working towards a Masters in Architecture.  She’ll be working with us for the next year, where she’ll gain vocational experience to complete her studies at RGU’s Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen.

Liane’s passion for design and drawing was ignited at school, where her favourite subject was graphic communication, which led to her decision to study Architecture at university. Her career ambitions are to gain a Masters qualification, after which she aims to complete the RIBA Part 3 examination to become a qualified Architect.

At All Design, Liane is gaining valuable industry experience. Among her many roles, she is assisting with building and planning application drawings, carrying out on-site surveying, and working on design ideas and concepts for clients. Liane is also enjoying the opportunity to work with AutoCAD and 3D modelling of buildings on Revit.

Liane comments: “I’ve been here for over a month now and it’s great.  I feel very grateful for the opportunity and it is already helping me to see how the theory behind my studies fits into the real world. The office is friendly and relaxed, which makes it easy for me to ask questions – it’s great to be a part of the team!”

Away from design and architecture, Liane’s other passion is swimming, which she has enjoyed since joining her local swimming club at the early age of 8. She has relished the opportunity to coach others in the sport and is now also coaching Lifesaving, which she finds very rewarding.

We know that with her enthusiasm to learn, Liane’s work experience at All Design will be very valuable.   Welcome to the team, Liane!
